Planning Commission

Purpose
The Planning Commission is a body of nine citizens.  The Commission is charged with the responsibility of guiding the development of the community by:

bulletpreparing a comprehensive plan including a land use plan
bulletland use zoning and subdivision regulation ordinances
bulletpark and recreation plan
bulletthoroughfare plan
bulletcommunity facilities plan
bulletand a capital improvements plan;

for reviewing and approving subdivision plats and advising the Town Council relative to Land Use Zoning issues. The Commission conducts public hearings for land use zoning and land subdivision activities.
